THE STORY OF OUR COMPANY

 Zia Company was born because of our love for these two gentle German Shepherds Dogs!  Sheik and Timba both recently passed, sadly.

The fact is our pets don't always smell good so after using air fresheners and burning incense and store bought candles with little improvement, eventually we started making a candle with the remnants of burned candles until we bought a vanilla soy candle for the first time which burned longer and smelled better than anything before it. The candle was hand-made locally and nothing in our area stores compared with its fragrance.

   The artisan who made these wonderful candles moved away and so there we were without a good candle to eliminate the odor of our animals until we figured out how to make them ourselves. The candles we made were different, however, and nobody else was making them our way; each candle was coated with various spices we combined according to the candles' fragrance. The combined effect was even better with soy, and soon after that we stopped using paraffin.

   It didn't take long for visitors to our home to ask what kind of candle was burning on a given day, and remark that they'd buy one if we'd sell them; eventually we heard them and now my family makes these soy candles and I market them, starting with just 6 fragrances now numbering 30. In addition, every candle has an added spice or accent intended to increase its scent throw and, as well, to complement its aesthetic appearance. The biggest bonus is not only will your home smell better with our candles, but so will your dog since our natural fragrances are gradually absorbed into your dog's fur!
